About Praxis
We're building the world's best apprenticeship program to help hard-working, talented young people discover and do what makes them come alive without college. And we believe that building a great, profitable company is the best way to make that happen.
Our one-year program combines a 6-month professional development bootcamp with a 6-month paid apprenticeship at a growing business, and lifetime access to the Praxis network.
During the bootcamp, apprentices discover short-term and long-term career interests, build in-demand skills through projects, and receive valuable feedback and guidance from our program coaches.
During the apprenticeship, apprentices work full-time at a growing business in sales, marketing, and operation roles where they learn what it takes to be a top young professional capable of creating value in the real-world.
Our apprentices graduate Praxis with significant work experience, the confidence and know-how to continue building an entrepreneurial career, and access to the Praxis Network for the rest of their lives.
We have helped 400+ driven and talented individuals start their careers strong since we launched our first cohort in 2014. We currently work with ~100 apprentices per year and are focused on scaling to 500 apprentices per year by 2024.

About the Marketing Partnerships Director Role
As our Marketing Partnerships Director, you will build out our affiliate and advertising partnership program, lead our earned media and PR efforts, and ultimately carry a significant amount of responsibility for the growth of our marketing and sales pipeline. You will work closely with our CEO and COO day-to-day.
Role Priorities:
- Build out Affiliate and Advertising Partnership Program
- We are gaining strong traction on affiliate partnerships with interest-based niche podcasts/IG accounts/student orgs and media advertisers. Your primary responsibility will be to scale up our efforts in this area quickly. We believe this will be a top growth channel over the next 1-3 years alongside word of mouth referrals.
- On a weekly basis you will be researching and recruiting new affiliate and ad partners to test out, rolling out new partnership efforts with speed, maintaining great relationships with successful partners, tracking and measuring success of partnerships, and constantly figuring out how to improve and scale up what works.
- Primary objective in the first 4-6 months: double # of high-quality program applicants through marketing partnerships.
- Lead Earned Media and PR Efforts
- Historically, we've had success in attracting high-quality prospects to the program through earned media. We've been featured on Fox News and other large media outlets numerous times, regularly appear on high-quality niche podcasts, and get thought pieces published on 3rd-party platforms from time to time. Your secondary responsibility will be to increase the number of quality earned media hits, essentially serving as our in-house PR agent.
- On a weekly basis you will be pitching our leadership team to podcast interviews, brainstorming and pitching article ideas for 3rd-party submission, pitching Praxis grad success stories to local and regional media outlets, and testing out other ways to gain earned media.
- Primary objective in the first 4-6 months: Scale up to 4-5 high-quality earned media hits per month.
- Contribute to Customer Sales and Content Marketing
- Depending on workload of the above priorities, you will have the opportunity to contribute to direct sales efforts with prospective apprenticeship customers and create marketing content yourself. We'd love it if you had the chops to become a strong public advocate for Praxis yourself, not just capable of amplifying our CEO/COO.
- On a weekly basis you might be taking a handful of sales calls, creating content on social media under your personal accounts and for the accounts of our CEO/COO, going on podcasts yourself, and drafting articles and blogs for 3rd-party publication.
- Primary objective in the first 4-6 months: TBD based on your skillset coming into the role.
Compensation:
- $55,000-$80,000 on-target earnings (range depending on skill level, experience, and day 1 expectations).
- Can structure compensation so there's plenty of upside based on exceeding growth targets that are making a direct impact on profit.
